Special Purpose Building Inspections

Engage SPI’s experienced building inspectors to assess a situation and put your mind at rest.

With a Special Purpose building inspection, you have the opportunity to focus on a specific issue or defect in your house or property. You may have just discovered the problem, or it could have been developing over a period of time. Perhaps you’re just not sure if it’s an issue at all?

The SPI Property Inspections team comprises highly experienced builders, with actual hands-on-experience in building. You will need someone who can identify those faults or potential problems that, if overlooked by an untrained eye, could result in costly damage in the months ahead.

SPI Property Inspections can carry out inspections for a number of special purposes on a property.

For example:

Cracking or movement in walls, floors and ceilings
Structural problems and defective frame installations
Subsidence and floors out of level
Noticeable gaps appearing in cornices, skirting boards, around windows etc.
Dampness issues
Noticeable water marks in ceilings
Leaking problems from roofs, gutters, balconies or in bathrooms
Insulation issues
Asbestos issues
Defective application of building materials
Poor workmanship and non-compliance with building standards

Our Special Purpose building report outlines the type and extent of the defect and is supported by photographic evidence.

We can also provide recommendations on an appropriate course of action to rectify the issues.

Should you decide to proceed down the dispute management path to resolve the matter, SPI can assist you in this area as well.

Our inspections are thorough and comprehensive, and we provide practical advice on general ongoing maintenance.

We offer a comprehensive range of professional building inspections to meet your particular needs. We service all of Melbourne and inner suburbs along with Bayside, Eastern, Northern, Western suburbs of Melbourne as well as the Bellarine and Mornington Peninsula.

He was able to get out there the next day and provided the report promptly without any hassles at all. Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had a great experience with SPI throughout our house construction. Frank was incredibly helpful and took the time to answer all of our questions, making the entire inspection process easy to understand.

I highly recommend SPI for building inspections. While builders do their best, it's always worthwhile to have an independent inspection for added confidence. It gave us real peace of mind knowing that our home was built safely and to a high standard.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We engaged SPI Property Inspections to carry out a final inspection for us. Frank did a very thorough job and picked up a number of things that would have otherwise not been found and we would have been left to fix ourselves after the sale was completed.
Very happy we went with this company and had the inspection undertaken. Definitely worth the minor cost compared to what it would have cost us to have the repairs done!
