Do You Need A Defects Report?

If you have undertaken any of the following work, and you are selling within 6.5 years of completion, then you will need a Defects Report. Have you:
- erected or constructed a home
- renovated, altered, extended, improved or repaired a home
- taken out a permit but had a builder undertake the work
- replaced the kitchen or bathroom
- undertaken landscaping or paving works or laid a driveway
- built or installed a retaining wall
- built a new fence
- built or erected a carport or garage
- installed a swimming pool or spa
- built or attached a deck or verandah
- built a pergola.
Where the value of the domestic work is over $12,000, then you must also obtain Warranty Insurance.
