About Us
Colin is a registered builder and has worked in the building industry for over 40 years. His experience includes house construction, renovations, creating stage sets and event floats, and residential and commercial building inspections. Colin also has a number of Award recognitions to his name.
Helen Legg joined the business in September 2009, and in late 2010 became Colin’s wife and joint owner of SPI. Colin and Helen met at BNI, a business network group, and were able to successfully combine business and relationship networking! Helen’s background is in branding and marketing communications, and for over 12 years, she worked in the construction and engineering industries. She has also established and run several businesses.
The SPI team has now grown to seven people, including four building inspectors working directly on inspection jobs and three managing the engine room, covering the bookings, marketing and administration functions.
Our central office is located in Vermont South and we have a team based in Bendigo. We service clients for building and pest inspections across Melbourne metro, North and North-East Victoria, Mornington Peninsula and Central Victoria.
